Lume privacy
EFFECTIVE 14 AUGUST 2026 · PLAIN ENGLISHLume tracks what your car costs you. That is financial and location-adjacent information, so the rule is simple: it stays on your device and I never see it.
What is collected
Only what you type in: fill-ups, tolls, services, odometer readings and vehicle names. No GPS trail, no automatic drive detection, no bank or card connections. Widgets read the same local data the app does.
Where it lives
On your iPhone, in the app's own container, synced across your devices through your private iCloud if you turn that on. There is no PLAYBONES server involved, which is also why there is nothing for me to leak.
Analytics and ads
There are none. No advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, no tracking identifiers, no profiles built about you. Nothing in the app is measured for anyone else's benefit.
Third parties
Apple, for the App Store purchase and iCloud sync, under their own privacy policy. Nothing else — no fuel price API receives your data, no mapping provider is called with your locations.
Deleting your data
Delete a vehicle to remove its records, or delete the app to remove everything. If iCloud sync was on, removing it in Settings › iCloud clears the copy there too.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects nothing that could identify a child. No age gate is required because no personal data is gathered in the first place.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and the previous version stays available on request. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
Contact
Questions go to privacy@playbones.app and reach me directly. PLAYBONES LLC is the data controller for the purposes of GDPR; there is no data protection officer because there is one person and no dataset.
