Blanck privacy
EFFECTIVE 18 AUGUST 2026 · PLAIN ENGLISHBlanck is an on-device photo-metadata tool for iPhone: see everything a photo quietly carries, then blank it. It has no account and no server, and your photos never leave your device.
What is collected
Nothing, and no account is required. Blanck has no login, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads, and no tracking, and no backend beyond Apple's own frameworks. Nothing about you or your photos is collected, stored, sold, or shared.
On-device processing
Every read, strip, and edit happens on your iPhone. Your photos never leave the device, and the original is never modified — Blanck writes a cleaned copy and leaves the source untouched.
The one thing that leaves the device
One feature makes a request off your phone, and only a coordinate goes with it. To draw the map for a photo, and to power the opt-in "Look up this place," Blanck sends the photo's latitude and longitude — never the photo, and nothing that identifies you — to Apple's mapping service, under Apple's privacy policy. The result is not stored. "Open in Maps" simply hands that same coordinate to a maps app through a URL; nothing else is shared.
Photos permission
Add-only. Blanck asks for permission to save cleaned copies to your library, and uses that access solely to write the new file.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is an Apple in-app purchase. Apple handles it under its own privacy policy, and Blanck receives only an anonymous entitlement — no payment details, name, or email.
Analytics and ads
There are none. No advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, no tracking identifiers, no profiles built about you. Nothing in the app is measured for anyone else's benefit.
Third parties
Apple only — for the App Store purchase, and for the mapping described above, where a coordinate (never the photo) is sent. No one else receives anything.
Your rights
Because Blanck collects no personal data, there is nothing to access, port, correct, or delete under the GDPR or CCPA. If you have any questions, get in touch.
Children
Blanck is not directed to children, and it collects nothing about anyone regardless.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it and the previous version stays available on request. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
