Bones 1.0 is out

Bones 1.0 is on the App Store. It's competitive All Fives dominoes for iPhone, and the whole point of 1.0 was to get the game itself right before anything else.

Scoring is correct, including the part most apps get wrong: once the spinner has tiles on both of its long sides, all four of its arms are open ends and every one of them counts. A running-total overlay shows the open ends while you choose a tile, so you learn to see the fives instead of guessing at them.

Playing with people is built in — quick match, or a private table you start and share with a link, with no accounts and no friend list. Rematches reuse the table instead of rebuilding it, and tile placement is a single, quiet haptic.

And it all works offline: the full rules engine and the bots run on the device, so a plane or a parking garage is a perfectly good place to play.
